Client Service Manager
Our client is a well-known and respected HVAC contractor with a nationwide presence across the UK, supporting over 130 employees and generating a turnover of over £20M. They specialize in installation, service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of HVAC equipment, including air conditioning, chillers, AHUs, ventilation, and commercial heating.
They operate as an Employee-Owned Trust, giving employees a stake in the company's management and profits, fostering a long-term commitment to business success.
The successful candidate will manage a P&L of approximately £1.3M, oversee service and maintenance operations, manage a team of mobile engineers, and ensure client satisfaction. Responsibilities include maintaining service quality, driving continuous improvement, growing client relationships, and monitoring financial performance.
Ideal candidates will be stable, committed, commercially savvy, and experienced in HVAC technical mastery, management, leadership, client relations, and P&L control.
Position Requirements
* Proven experience in service or operations management leading engineering teams.
* HVAC technical knowledge of heating, cooling, wet systems, and plant rooms.
* Confidence in technical discussions with clients regarding systems, service, and maintenance.
* Excellent client-facing and customer service skills, with experience in service and maintenance contracts and negotiations.
* Desire for professional development and increased responsibilities.
* Financial acumen with P&L, budget, and cost control experience.
Salary & Benefits
* Basic Salary: £50,000-£60,000 DOE
* Car allowance: circa £5k per annum
* Annual bonus based on net profit, service, compliance, and engineer development
* Profit sharing through the Employee-Owned Trust, increasing with tenure
* Pension scheme
