Our client, a well-established, forward-thinking business with over 30 employees, is seeking a commercially astute and experienced Finance Director to join their leadership team. This office-based role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the Managing Director and Board of Directors, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction and long-term success.As Finance Director, you’ll oversee all financial and administrative aspects of the business and act as a key advisor to the leadership team. What will the Finance Director role involve?
* Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely monthly and annual reporting.
* Build commercial strategy with the Board and MD, for international business.
* Act as Financial guide for commercial arrangements and negotiations.
* Lead Foreign exchange requirements and plan effectively.
* Partner with the Managing Director to develop and execute long-term strategic plans.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal and decision support.
* Manage cash flow, working capital and tax compliance.
* Ensure robust internal controls, policies, and legal/regulatory compliance.
* Provide oversight of IT systems and support the IT Manager in digital efficiency initiatives.
* Lead HR administration including payroll and staff policy oversight.
* Act as Company Secretary for board and shareholder governance.
* Review and manage legal and contractual matters, including risk and insurance.
* Build strong external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, pension trustees, and banks.
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation across finance and operational areas.
Suitable candidate for the Finance Director vacancy:
* Professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven leadership experience with at least 5 years in a senior finance position.
* Strong strategic thinker with demonstrable commercial acumen and business partnering skills.
* High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
* Capable of leading under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
* Confident in influencing decision-makers and contributing to business performance.
