Why not join us as a Safeguarding Campus Lead ? This is a full-time, term-time only role, working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. As this is a term-time only position, the anticipated start date for this role is September. Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare. As a Safeguarding Campus Lead, you may be based at any of our Weston-super-Mare campuses. Day to day duties of the role Liaising with staff, students, managers, the College DSL, and external agencies to ensure learner safety in line with statutory duties and legislation. Promote key safeguarding messages to staff and students across the College using a range of communication platforms and within allocated campus areas. Develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally to support early identification, intervention, and consistent safeguarding practice. Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant safeguarding records in line with statutory and College requirements. Required skills and qualifications Full UK driving licence, and access to own transport. Level 2 Safeguarding Qualification. Proven experience of dealing with complex safeguarding/wellbeing referrals, working in a student-centric way, putting first the safety and wellbeing of students. Proven team working and networking, including working with a range of colleagues across teams and effective liaison with external organisations including local authorities and emergency services.
