Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Technical Sales Manager to play a pivotal role across both front-end and back-end operations. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position combining customer account management, technical sales support, project management, and production coordination.
The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between customers, the sales team, suppliers, and our manufacturing partners, while also working closely with senior leadership to help define and execute the companys long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Sales Support
Manage and grow existing customer accounts, acting as a primary point of contact
Support the sales team with technical input, quotations, specifications, and feasibility assessments
Translate customer briefs into clear technical and production-ready documentation
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving
Project & Production Management
Oversee projects from initial concept through to production and delivery
Liaise directly with the factory in China to manage timelines, specifications, and quality standards
Assist with production planning, sampling, approvals, and troubleshooting
Monitor costs, lead times, and risk throughout the project lifecycle
Supplier & Factory Liaison
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners
Coordinate material sourcing, component development, and sustainability requirements
Support continuous improvement in processes, quality, and efficiency
Strategic & Business Support
Work closely with the senior team to define and deploy overall business strategy
Provide insights on technical capability, innovation, and operational performance
Support preparation and delivery of exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events
Contribute to the development of new products and sustainable packaging solutions
Skills & Experience Required
Experience in technical sales, account management, or project management within packaging, manufacturing, or a related industry
Strong understanding of bespoke or luxury products and production processes
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Commercial awareness with a solution-focused mindset
Experience working with overseas factories, particularly in China
Knowledge of sustainable materials, responsible sourcing, or luxury packaging
Exposure to exhibitions or trade shows
Background in print, packaging engineering, or product development
Hours and Pay:
Monday - Friday.
9am - 5:30pm.
Hybrid work available.
Pay around £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
