Finance Assistant Location: London Contract: Temporary (4 months) Salary: £22.43 umbrella / £18.10 PAYE Exclusive / £20.28 PAYE Inclusive Start Date: ASAP Contact: Job Description Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a housing association in London for a Finance Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will support in the operational delivery of an area of the overall Service, ensuring it’s sound running within Policy and the medium-term financial position, ensuring financial procedures and practices are followed.Key Responsibilities
* Support the operational delivery of finance services, ensuring financial procedures and practices are followed
* Assist with budget setting, monitoring, and closing of accounts, alongside other accounting-related activities
* Carry out financial control processes such as reconciliations and support the submission of grant claims and returns
* Monitor financial information, identify issues, and escalate or support resolution with senior staff
CandidateCriteria
* Ability to work within a professional finance environment and contribute to team objectives
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes accurately
* Good communication skills, with the ability to provide general finance-related support to Council officers
* Willingness to learn and develop through training and continuous professional development
