Buying Assistant (Commercial Assistant)
Supporting the Commercial Lead in managing Retailers and new product development.
We are seeking an experienced Buying Administrator or current Assistant Buyer looking for a new challenge, preferably with a focus on creative product development.
Main Tasks
1. Sample Management: Preparing samples for meetings, general sample organization.
2. General Administration: Sending parcels, inputting data, preparing artwork briefs, quote sheets, sample sheets, and design tasks. Preparing files for business trips.
3. Competitive Shopping: Identifying new opportunities related to existing products, ranges, or new brands, with a focus on product development for markets like the UK, Europe, and Australia.
4. Project Tracker: Assisting in managing the project tracker to streamline workflow.
5. Customer Needs Support: Maintaining client relationships through effective communication, gathering necessary information from our supply base for customer inquiries.
6. Preparation for Customer Meetings: Collecting samples, dimensions, and weights to provide accurate product quotes for sales discussions.
7. Post-Meeting Follow-Up: Packing, photographing lines of interest, logging key points and actions, and identifying immediate and future opportunities.
8. Factory/Supply Base Coordination: Communicating with factories, requesting samples, and discussing costs.
9. Travel: Will involve frequent travel opportunities.
Option to work from home one day a week, subject to business needs.
