Pharmacy Counter Assistant – Join Our Healthcare Team
Are you passionate about helping people with their healthcare needs? We're seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Counter Assistant to become an integral part of our community pharmacy team.
About the Role: You'll be the friendly face our customers rely on, providing expert advice on pharmacy medicines and health and beauty products, as well as supporting the many pharmacy services we run from our purpose built premises. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Assisting customers with over-the-counter medicines and healthcare advice
* Managing stock and administrative tasks
* Coordinating our 24/7 prescription collection service
* Liaising with GP surgeries and healthcare professionals
* Responding to customer enquiries in-store, by phone, and via email
* Maintaining a clean, welcoming pharmacy environment
We're Looking For:
* Either someone with a Pharmacy Medicines Counter Assistant qualification ready to hit the ground running
* Or an enthusiastic learner eager to start a rewarding career in pharmacy (full Buttercups or similar training provided)
Essential Qualities:
* Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine desire to help
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Responsible, reliable, and professional approach
* Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility with scheduling (see below)
Desirable Skills:
* IT proficiency and strong organisational/administrative capabilities
* Previous retail or customer-facing experience

Hours & Schedule:
* Preferred: Full-time hours per week)
* Also considered: Part-time (20+ hours) for exceptional candidates

* Shifts typically will start at 08:00 or finish at 20:00 (with varying start/finish times)
* Saturday working required; occasional Sunday shifts may be needed in future
* Flexibility essential for holiday cover and changing schedules
