Role Summary
As Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling vessel bookings and scheduling updates. You will communicate with ferry providers and customers, providing customers with regular updates on vessel status and shipment progress.
Key Responsibilities
Arrange and coordinate shipments (import/export)
Prepare and review shipping documents
Deal with bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
Book cargo space with carriers and negotiate freight rates.
Liaise with customers, shipping lines & Hauliers
Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to clients.
Assist with customs clearance and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
Resolve shipment delays, damage claims, or documentation discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of shipments and transactions.
Support logistics planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide excellent customer service and develop strong client relationships.
Criteria
Experience in freight forwarding or a similar logistics role.
Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and customs systems.
Good problem-solving skills.

Salary will be depending on experience - Working hours will be 9 - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with one day WFH once fully trained .
