The Finance Manager is responsible for the day to day running the Management Accountants, AP & AR functions. This role is to support the FD to drive operational performance and efficiency by ensuring compliance with regulations with robust financial controls coupled with continuous process development. The role provides commercial financial support across four distinct revenue streams and multiple international operations, supporting data driven decision making by our business leaders.
Duties of Role:
Team Leadership
* Manage and develop finance team members.
* Ensure clear segregation of duties.
* Establish performance metrics and development plans.
* Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Financial Reporting & Control
* Prepare monthly management accounts with consolidated group reporting within the agreed timetable
* Deliver revenue stream reporting with profitability analysis.
* Maintain strong internal controls, including balance sheet reconciliations
* Oversee intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reconciliations.
* Coordinate international tax compliance with advisors and submissions are made within the agreed timetable
Revenue & Margin Management (4 Distinct Revenue Streams)
* Develop detailed margin analysis per revenue stream.
* Partner with Divisional Heads to monitor performance against budget.
* Identify revenue recognition risks and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
* Provide cost allocation models across revenue streams.
* Analyse pricing structures and contribution margins.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Commercial Finance
* Support the annual budgeting process across all revenue streams.
* Provide scenario modelling and financial sensitivity analysis to General Managers
* Support business cases for investment decisions and capital expenditure
* Deliver KPI dashboards and executive reporting packs.
Systems & Process Improvement
* Maintain integrity of ERP/finance systems
* Implement process improvements to enhance operational and reporting efficiency.
* Develop automation in reporting and financial controls.
* Support integration of new revenue streams.
Education:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified.
* 5+ years' experience in a multi-entity SME or international environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102.
* Experience with multi-currency accounting and intercompany transactions.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Desirable:
* Experience in a group consolidation environment.
* Exposure to multi -currency, multi entity operations
* Experience implementing financial systems and processes.
* Experience in managing individuals at different stages of their career development
