Your new companyHays are delighted to be supporting a well-established organisation in Elgin who are seeking a Temporary Administrator to assist their busy team during a particularly active period. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their administrative experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Your new roleIn this role, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of day‑to‑day operations. You will handle a high volume of incoming phone and email enquiries, so strong and confident communication skills will be key. You will also be responsible for booking appointments, coordinating with colleagues, and managing general administrative tasks as required. A significant part of the role will involve working with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, where you will update and maintain trackers to ensure all information is accurate and up to date. You will be joining a busy and friendly team where a proactive, organised approach will be highly valued.
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful, you will have strong communication abilities and the confidence to deal effectively with a variety of queries. You should be highly organised, comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment, and adaptable when priorities shift. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, especially Excel, as maintaining trackers will be a core part of your responsibilities. A keen eye for detail, a professional manner, and a willingness to support colleagues will all contribute to your success in this temporary position.
