We are looking for a Team Leader who has the passion and energy to take the team far. This is a new role supporting our government client Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA)
This is a permanent role and the team works on a hybrid approach, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays office based, however we pride ourselves on supporting our employees and wellbeing is a huge part of our culture, so we may be able to offer alternative options should you require.
Our Newcastle office is a stunning space and has been newly refurbished, it is equipped with high tech coffee machines, free onsite parking, free breakfast and lots more.
What you’ll be doing:
Motivate, lead and develop the team and encourage communication. Ensuring the team follow process and support them to do so. Undertake 1-2-1s on a monthly basis. Pick up and resolve more complex queries within the team. Make sure that workload is allocated across the team and this is being accurately handled. Support the payroll operations lead in meeting established client SLAs and important metrics. To identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures. To develop and handle changes within own area through the change management process.
What you’ll bring:
Experience of leading a small team. Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Coaching and mentorship. Able to identify areas of weakness and recommend improvements. Experience of working in payroll administration.
It would be great if you had:
Oracle E Business experience. Knowledge of Local Government Pensions schemes CIPP Qualification. If you don’t have this, the management can support you through this qualification (funded provided by SSCL)
