About the Department
We are a networked, paperless Varian department. We operate a managed service contract that covers a fleet of five Varian linear accelerators, two CT simulators, a Bravos brachytherapy unit and an Xstrahl superficial unit. Dosimetry planning is radiographer–led, predominantly using VMAT and IMRT. We offer an established SABR service and an expanding on‑treatment review team including a therapeutic radiographer‑led late effects review service. All our Linacs and CT units are equipped with SGRT (Align RT) and SimRT respectively.
Student & Apprentice Training
We serve as a clinical placement site for student radiographers from the University of Suffolk and University of Hertfordshire, as well as apprentices from Sheffield Hallam University and University of Hertfordshire. This offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the next generation of therapeutic radiographers.

Work Schedule & Flexibility
You will work a four‑day week with a day off during the week, covering early and late shifts between 07:00 and 20:00hrs. On‑call duties on weekends, occasional Saturdays, and bank holidays are expected to minimise treatment gaps. Flexible working is supported, and part‑time applications are welcomed.
