Overview
Impact Food Group (IFG) is recruiting for a Central Support Chef to cover a portfolio of schools. You will assist with the training and development of onsite chefs, cover sickness across sites, and be part of the mobilisation team. This is an area role requiring a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Working days are Monday to Friday, with shifts approximately 7am–3pm (40 hours per week) and a term-time schedule (42 weeks per year).
Responsibilities
* Support and develop onsite school chefs and Chef Managers across the portfolio.
* Cover sickness across sites and assist in kitchen operations as needed.
* Contribute to the mobilisation team and support area staffing requirements.
* Assist with training and compliance in line with IFG standards.
* Travel within the area (Middlesbrough to Newcastle) as part of the role.
Qualifications & Experience
* Chef management experience, ideally from secondary education catering.
* Passion for food and service, with craft skills to support in the kitchen when needed.
* Self-motivated, resilient, highly organized, and able to prioritise effectively.
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
