Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in the L5 area on a long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide general classroom support in a Reception class, assisting with day-to-day learning activities and delivering engaging phonics and reading sessions. You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team who are passionate about creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and pupils.
2. Support the learning and development of Reception pupils through structured play, group work, and guided reading.
3. Assist with the delivery of phonics and early reading activities.
4. Encourage inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom.
5. Support lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and assessment activities.
Essential Requirements:
6. Recent and relevant experience working in an educational or childcare setting.
7. A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification – CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent.
8. A passion for supporting early years learning, particularly literacy and phonics.
9. Ability to follow direction from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team.
