Care & Support Assistant – Bank Team
Location: Fern Brook Lodge Care Home, Shaftesbury Road, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4QD
Pay Rate: £13.05‑£13.30 per hour
Hours: Bank (flexible shifts, no guaranteed hours)
Day Shift Patterns:
* 08:00 – 20:00 (Full shift)
* 08:00 – 14:00 (Morning shift)
* 14:00 – 20:00 (Afternoon shift)
Night Shift Pattern:
* 20:00 – 08:00
About The Role
We are looking for caring and compassionate people to join our Care Team. This role focuses on making a positive difference in residents’ lives. Previous care experience is not required – customer service, community work or a natural empathy for others will be valued.
Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care and mobility needs
* Deliver person‑centred care that truly makes a difference
* Encourage residents to stay independent and active
* Build genuine friendships with residents
* Participate in social activities and create a positive team‑focused atmosphere
* Support residents in day‑to‑day tasks, fostering a happy and fulfilling lifestyle
Qualifications
* Must be 18 years or older
