Hours – 32.5 (Term Time only + 2 inset days)
Pay Grade – Grade D SCP 6‑10 Permanent Post: £25,989 – £27,694. Full-time equivalent: £19,788 – £21,086.
About the School
St Andrew’s Church School is a one‑form‑entry church primary school with an integrated nursery and reception class, situated in the centre of the World Heritage city of Bath. The school regularly accesses the city’s cultural centres as part of its ‘School without Walls’ initiative. The school is socially, culturally and ethnically diverse and inclusion is one of its key values.
Role Overview
Our nursery is thriving, and we are seeking an experienced Nursery Lead to inspire, nurture, motivate and challenge children to achieve their best across all areas of the curriculum. The successful candidate will lead nursery provision in collaboration with the Foundation Stage Team within a Foundation Stage Unit and will bring forward‑thinking, creative practice to the role.
Qualifications and Experience
* Possession of an Early Years Practitioner qualification or above.
* Experience of working with children.
* Knowledge and understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage Standard Framework.
* Understanding of the 2004 Children Act, Childcare Act 2006 and other relevant legislation.
* Understanding Ofsted requirements.
* Knowledge of current child development and ways to encourage learning.
* Team player able to lead others effectively.
