The Strategic Initiatives Consultant will be a key member of our newly formed Strategic Initiatives team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence high‑impact projects and drive innovation in reinsurance strategy. You will collaborate across actuarial, finance, and operational teams to deliver solutions that shape the future of our business. This role is based in Bermuda. Preference will be given to candidates who have current Bermuda work authorization.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including model development, finance, and legal—to successfully close reinsurance transactions.
* Analyze, price, and implement new flow and reinsurance transactions in partnership with Stat/Bermuda Valuation and Finance teams.
* Review Bermuda EBS valuation and stress testing results for in‑force variable annuity businesses.
* Support assumption reviews, valuation methodology research (Stat/GAAP), and stress testing initiatives.
* Provide guidance on methodology, governance, and modeling for transaction implementation.
* Collaborate with teams on model development and assumption setting for new product development and reinsurance activities.
* Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Actuarial Science.
* ASA or FSA designation.
* Familiarity with reinsurance accounting or capital management.
* Preferred: Knowledge of AXIS, Variable Annuities, and IFRS / US GAAP / US Stat / MCEV frameworks.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $100,462 – $160,740, varying with skills, experience, and location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation for performance through salary increases, spot bonuses, and short‑term incentive plans. Eligible employees receive a full range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Office: Bermuda Cedar House, 2nd Floor, 41 Cedar Avenue, Hamilton, HM 12. Minimum 2‑year assignment duration.
