We’re working with a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Newport to recruit an Unqualified Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in a school setting — whether you're a recent graduate, career changer, or simply someone who enjoys working with young people.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Support students in the classroom across a range of subjects
Work closely with teachers and the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) team
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils stay focused and engaged
Assist with behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and learning needs
Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
Level 2 Safeguarding training
At least two professional references covering the past two years
