We are looking for a professional, organised and confident Credit Controller to join our Finance team at our Head Office in East Grinstead. This is not a typical collections role. You will be working directly with students, helping them manage their payments in a clear, supportive and structured way, while ensuring the company maintains strong financial control. You will take ownership of student accounts, payment plans, and credit control processes — playing a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Key Responsibilities Manage student and customer accounts, ensuring payments are up to date Proactively contact students regarding overdue balances (phone & email) Set up, monitor and manage payment plans Process payments and maintain accurate financial records Investigate and resolve account queries clearly and efficiently Work closely with Student Support and Sales teams to ensure accuracy Prepare reports and maintain documentation in line with procedures Support the Finance Department with general administration What We’re Looking For Experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or finance administration (essential) Excellent written and spoken English Confident and professional communication, especially around payments Strong organisation and time management High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems A calm, respectful and solution-focused approach with students Important This is a full-time, office-based role in East Grinstead Candidates must be able to reliably commute daily Salary & Benefits £28,000 – £32,000 depending on skills & experience Stable, long-term role within a growing education provider Supportive and professional working environment Opportunity to take ownership of a key finance function Free short courses.
