Position Overview:
Seeking a Principal Communication Systems Engineer passionate about developing phased array antennas and radios for aerospace applications, in a startup-like environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure interface compatibility.
* Support proposal reviews and lead trade studies for system architecture optimization.
* Develop space system requirements and interfaces.
* Lead the development of space architecture concepts, subsystem design, payload design, and risk mitigation.
* Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, and quality assurance to ensure mission success.
* Develop system engineering processes for requirements management and traceability.
Qualifications:
* Master’s or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering.
* 9+ years experience in space communications.
* Strong knowledge of communication theory and RF concepts.
* Experience with FPGA, vector processing engines, and satellite communication standards.
* Proficiency in Python and C++.
* Excellent technical communication skills.
* Ability to manage large projects and work under pressure.
* Strong team collaboration skills.
