Job Overview
The Play Practitioner will assist in delivering a quality childcare service that provides children with care, play, and learning opportunities in a safe and stimulating environment.
Responsibilities include supporting the Manager/Lead Practitioner in creating a hygienic, safe, and welcoming environment that fosters trust, respect, confidence, and a caring ethos, in accordance with current legislation and the Scottish Social Service Council's framework.

Dunrossness Primary School, located in Dunrossness, offers nursery to P7 education for children from Sumburgh to Levenwick. The school has an early learning and childcare setting for 3-5-year-olds and four primary classes, with a total of 122 pupils.
Additional Information
* The grade of this post is H.
* The pay rate includes Distant Islands Allowance of £1.4808 per hour.
* This is a temporary part-time position, 15 hours per week, for approximately 12 months, during a period of family leave.
* Applicants must join or update their PVG Scheme and register with the SSSC upon employment.
* We offer flexible working options and will pay interview expenses within Shetland.
