Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
* Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and other financial documents.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
* Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and trial balances.
* Support in the preparation of year-end accounts for individuals, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Assist in the preparation of tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
* Liaise directly with clients to gather necessary financial information and ensure accurate data for tax filings.
* Process payroll accurately and on time, including salaries, benefits, and statutory deductions.
* Prepare and submit PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
* Maintain payroll records and respond to employee payroll queries.
