Based in Congleton, Cheshire, Senior Bird Bellows was established in 1975 as a family run operation serving the petro-chemical and gas industries. Since then, we have evolved to become one of the industry leaders in the design, development and manufacture of pressure duct systems, flexible joints and insulation for highly regulated industries. We have established customers in aerospace (both civil and military), as well as in the nuclear, oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Job Description Scope and purpose of job role: To carry out manufacturing activities within the Composite Cell at Senior Bird Bellows Key Responsibilities: To assemble composite components including: Tool maintenance & preparation Material cutting and kitting Laminating Vacuum bagging Demoulding and trimming Bonding, fitting and assembly Control of clean room Visual Inspection To complete the above activities using defined procedures and work instructions To observe and maintain high standards of Health & Safety To ensure that all work activities and records comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Codes of Practice. Qualifications What key skills, experience and personal qualities do I need? Skills: Manual dexterity (ability to perform tasks using the hands) Experience: Have experience of assembly work Have experience of producing work that has to be highly accurate Have experience of following H&S rules and guidelines Personal Qualities: Ability to work in a small team Capable of following work instructions Desirable: Experience of working in a highly regulated work environment Experience of working with composite materials Additional Information We offer a supportive and rewarding work environment that values your wellbeing and work-life balance. Contract Information: Monday - Thursday (36hrs) £12.95 p/h rising to £13.42 in January 2026.
