For over 50 years, the RSPB has built one of the UK’s richest wildlife video libraries. A unique collection that captures both the beauty of nature and the urgency of protecting it.

Working in the RSPB Brand team, you’ll play a key part in making that footage available and useful to others. You’ll support colleagues across the RSPB, as well as external partners, by providing timely access to RSPB-owned video content, from fulfilling requests to creating tailored packages that help bring our mission to life.

Your focus will be on ensuring people can easily find and use the right footage to tell compelling stories, whether for campaigns, communications, or partnerships. Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a collaborative approach will be essential, as you make the RSPB’s extensive video library an accessible and valuable resource that inspires action for nature.

If you enjoy enabling others, balancing technical skills with creative problem-solving, and want to help share the RSPB’s story through powerful imagery, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

* Acting as the main point of contact for all video footage and licensing requests.

* Maintaining digital archives, ensuring all video assets are accurately catalogued and easy to search.

* Managing the negotiation, licensing, and provision of selected archive video content to internal and external users, following agreed guidance.

* Keeping an accurate database of video clip sales and corresponding licences, including associated financial administration within the RSPB’s financial platform.

* Where required, capturing tape-based and file-based assets and associated metadata into the digital asset management system.

* Selecting and preparing rolls, rushes, and footage clips to meet specific content requests.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

* Experience of working with video archives.

* Understanding of copyright and licensing of video footage.

* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

* Ability to manage your own workload and switch between tasks effectively.

* Experience of working in a creative or multimedia environment.

* Experience using Adobe CC, specifically Premiere Pro.

* Strong understanding of the role and importance of video assets in delivering effective communications, marketing, and campaigning activity.

The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
