Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
7. Perform a full range of automotive services and repairs on all makes and models of vehicles
8. Carry out routine servicing and repairs to high standards
9. Conduct MOT testing where applicable
10. Utilise diagnostic tools to identify faults and carry out accurate repairs
11. Maintain efficiency and quality without compromising safety
12. Complete Vehicle Health Checks and effectively communicate findings to the service department
13. Ensure all work is completed professionally, safely, and timely
Requirements needed for the Vehicle Technician role:
14. Previous automotive repair experience with a strong work ethic
15. NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or equivalent, or substantial time-served experience as a technician
16. A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar position is preferred
17. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
18. Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues clearly to colleagues and customers
19. Full UK driving licence is essential
20. MOT Testing licence is preferable but not essential
21. Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles is an advantage supported by certifications such as Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Technician
22. Additional valued qualifications include Master Technician, Technician, and Fast Fit Technician experience
