Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Facilitator to organise, attend and provide administrative support for a fortnightly Movement Group, for people with dementia and their carers. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage groups, engage participants, and foster a supportive environment for learning and growth.
NOTE: this is not a movement instructor position.
The hours are as follows:
Tuesdays, fortnightly, 3.5 hours
TOTAL = 7 HOURS PER MONTH
Responsibilities
Facilitate group sessions, workshops, and activities that promote engagement and participation.
Supervise and mentor participants, ensuring a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
Provide regular updates (e.g. photos) in order to promote group activities and initiatives.
Liaise with fundraising efforts to support group projects and community outreach.
Collaborate with other colleagues to support attendance.
Maintain administrative records related to group activities, attendance, and feedback.
Experience
Proven experience in supervising teams or groups is essential.
Community, voluntary or educational group setting experience.
Administrative experience
Knowledge of dementia or working with vulnerable adults is beneficial.
