Aerospace Quality Inspector
Location: Ferndown, England, United Kingdom
Salary: £35k to £36k (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
TeamJobs is excited to partner with a long‑established and growing engineering company in Ferndown, who manufacture high‑precision components for the aerospace and defence sectors. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their team.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out first‑off, in‑process and final inspection of precision‑machined components
* Producing FAIRs (EN9102 Rev C) and completing all required documentation
* Using a wide range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and optical systems
* Operating and programming CMM equipment (Aberlink Axiom Too preferred, but training offered for the right candidate)
* Conducting incoming goods inspection and ensuring full traceability
* Supporting root cause and corrective action investigations
* Working closely with machinists, engineering and quality teams to maintain the highest manufacturing standards
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within aerospace, defence, or precision engineering
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T
* Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 quality systems
* FAIR / EN9102 experience
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and contribute to continuous improvement
