Overview
The successful candidate will carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice. Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies. Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations. Liaise with customers to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, to customer\'s requirements, whilst limiting the disruption to their business. Sites include Schools, Hospitals, Hotels and Universities.
Responsibilities
* Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice.
* Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies.
* Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
* Liaise with customers to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, to customer\'s requirements, whilst limiting the disruption to their business. Sites include Schools, Hospitals, Hotels and Universities.
* Have an acceptable knowledge of Microsoft Office and access to emails; once a week download results and send to the PAT team at Head Office.
* Job schedules will be arranged by the PAT Team at Head Office; the Engineer must manage their own time efficiently and successfully.
* Maintain an acceptable timekeeping record and ensure that start & finish times are adhered to, as directed by the PAT Manager.
* Identify, prevent, or pre-empt potential areas for customer dissatisfaction, for example arriving late due to traffic. Good route preparation and forward planning are vital.

* In accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other supplementary legislation, all employees are required to take reasonable care to avoid injury and to cooperate with Norwood Electrical (UK) Ltd and others in meeting statutory requirements.

* Must hold Full Manual UK Driving Licence; must pass Full enhanced DBS check.
