This is an opportunity for an experienced therapist to join the bank to support times of high demand in the Integrated Community Stroke Service. The post is in a supportive multidisciplinary team and could be a mixture of face to face and telerehab.
Main duties of the job
* Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults with communication and swallowing problems within the community stroke team.
* Work independently with the support and supervision of clinical leads.
* Work in patients' homes and community.
* Work as an integrated member of the stroke team.
* Work with members of the multidisciplinary stroke team, including nursing, therapists and assistance staff.
* Be involved in ongoing training to the multidisciplinary team.
* Be part of a wider network of SLTs in Sirona including peer supervision and support.
* Receive clinical and operational leadership from the Clinical Specialist SLT for stroke.
Please be aware: you will need to undertake at least one shift within a three-month rolling period to remain on the bank.

Qualifications
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registration
Experience
* Experience in stroke rehabilitation
* Experience in community rehabilitation
* Dysphagia training completed
Skills
* Skills in MDT working
* Competent assessment and treatment skills in rehabilitation of communication problems

£27.69 an hour includes 12.5% annual leave supplement
