To participate in the provision of an Estates service primarily undertaking electrical repairs, planned maintenance, small works and minor improvements. It will be anticipated that some mechanical / building duties will be undertaken as training and experience is gained. Participation in the Trust's Estates tradesman on-call Rota to cover multiple sites is also required. A valid UK driving license is therefore essential., The main duties :
* Deliver day-to-day electrical maintenance: planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis and repairs, and installation/testing of new works.
* Carry out compliance testing and checks: portable appliance testing (PAT) and routine testing of essential systems (e.g., fire alarms, nurse call, generators), including interpreting/resetting BMS alarms.
* Follow Estates policies and safe systems of work: complete documentation, use PPE, work safely, and keep workshops/plant rooms safe and tidy.
* Support service delivery: record work on CAFM, liaise with wards/departments, supervise/oversee contractors and support/training of other staff.
* Provide flexible cover: assist other trades as trained, join emergency response/on-call rota, and undertake other reasonable Estates duties (including out-of-hours emergencies).
