Job Role
We're seeking a confident and compassionate individual to provide essential front-line support in a dynamic environment. As the first point of contact for patients, relatives, colleagues, and emergency services, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of reception and clinical areas.
Responsibilities
1. Gather patient information and register arrivals using ED systems.
2. Generate ED cards and prepare documentation for scanning post-treatment.
3. Respond to enquiries via in-person and phone communication.
4. Assist with emergency ambulance arrivals and liaise with medical staff.
5. Send GP letters electronically and book follow-up appointments via IPM.
6. Provide cover for reception shifts during staff absences.
Requirements
* Confidence in dealing with the public.
* Strong computer skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Empathy and professionalism, especially when supporting distressed patients.
* Experience and skills as outlined in the person specification and job description.
