Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for General Classroom Teaching Assistants to work within mainstream primary schools across the Central Birmingham area.

Position: Level 3 General Classroom Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Type of Work: General classroom support within a mainstream primary school
Contract/Position Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-term, Short-term, and Daily Supply
Full Time/Part Time: Full time
Minimum Rate of Pay: Negotiable
About the Role:
This roles involve working closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of pupils across the primary age range. You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, providing one-to-one or small-group support where needed, and promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
We offer flexible opportunities including long-term placements, short-term cover, and daily supply work, ideal for experienced TAs or individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support pupils learning under the guidance of the class teacher
· Deliver targeted interventions and support classroom activities
· Help prepare learning materials and maintain an organised classroom
· Assist with behaviour management and emotional support
· Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
· Experience supporting children in a school or educational setting
· A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach to learning
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· A calm, patient, and encouraging manner
· A relevant qualification ( CACHE Level 3, or equivalent) is desirable
Requirements to Work with Prospero Teaching:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold a valid, enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
· Provide two child-related professional references covering the last two years
