Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland. Howâs this for job satisfaction? At Scottish Water we look after Scotland's most precious natural resource. From source to tap, weâre guarding Scotlandâs reputation for refreshingly pure water, and caring for our environment at the same time. Sound good? Weâre looking for an Operational Specialist to join our CSD Income, Admin and Team Leader Supplement Team. Youâll play a key role in making sure our out-of-hours Team Leader standby supplement runs smoothly, transparently and is trusted across Scottish Water. This role combines strong stakeholder management with a real eye for detail. Youâll work with sensitive and confidential information, so data quality matters. By working closely with colleagues across CSD, People Services and Payroll, youâll help to ensure our end-to-end processes are robust, well-governed and operate effectively. What youâll do Youâll coordinate and administer the processes that manage changes to Team Leader standby supplements, making sure everything follows the right governance and is accurately recorded. Youâll maintain rotas, track changes, and ensure staffing updates are reflected correctly and on time. A big part of the role is data. Youâll analyse information from corporate systems, cross-checking data to spot issues, trends or inconsistencies. When something doesnât look right, youâll see it through to resolution, coordinating corrective action and keeping stakeholders informed. Youâll own communication between the Customer Service Delivery leadership team and the Team Leader Supplement Admin Team, keeping clear, transparent and accessible records. Youâll also complete accurate calculations to support Payroll with supplement payments and administer the Network Support Officer supplement scheme. Alongside this, youâll analyse overtime worked across CSD, identifying trends and sharing insights with senior stakeholders to support decision-making. While the role is a mix of administration and analysis, youâll also be flexible, stepping in to support wider team resilience when needed. What youâll need Youâll have experience coordinating and running business processes, with strong organisational skills and a methodical approach. Youâll be comfortable working with data, analysing information and presenting clear insights to stakeholders. Youâll be confident using Excel and SharePoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Youâll have experience of data analysis and be comfortable using Power BI as part of your day-to-day work. Because youâll be handling sensitive and confidential information, youâll be someone whoâs trusted, discreet and pays close attention to detail. Youâll be self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to manage your workload effectively. Experience of pay-related administration or analysis, and using tools like Power Apps or Power BI, would be an advantage. But what matters most is your ability to keep processes running smoothly, accurately and with confidence. Looking out for you⯠While the work we do is important, we know itâs not the only thing that matters. Thatâs why we make sure you have everything you need to find a good work-life balance.⯠Youâll get plenty of time to recharge with 38 days of holiday every year (including public holidays). And you can even buy five more if you need a little extra time.
