Newrest, a specialist in out-of-home catering, is seeking future Procurement Manager as part of its Graduate Program. Reporting to the Purchasing & Supply Manager, you will be trained in our business operations with the goal of joining, in the medium term, in one of our units in the airline catering sectors. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing the best quality equipment, goods and services at the most competitive prices to enable a company or organization to operate successfully. Whilst ensuring compliance with Newrest Non-Negotiables current business laws and practices.
Contract type: 12-month fixed-term contract, potentially leading to a long-term international collaboration.

Profile
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies.
Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, ensuring adherence to agreed standards.
Work with Operations teams and Newrest Head Office Procurement team to ensure suppliers achieve operational and financial targets.
Point of contact for Operations and Finance teams and other internal stakeholders.
Review and supervise RFP process.
Ensure robust performance auditing against contractual SLAs/KPIs, management of contracts and benchmarking of service providers.
Drive strategy of the category, collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive innovation, efficiencies, business development opportunities and generating additional value to both parties.
Lead internal reviews with key stakeholders to identify business needs and tangible service improvements. Translating these into relationship development plans with suppliers.
Develop and maintain plans to prioritize and implement continuous improvement in terms of service cost, risk and flexibility.
Instigate and develop action plans to remedy poor supplier performance and manage through to conclusion.
Ensure smooth implementation of service improvement projects and successful handovers to operational business stakeholders.
Lead market scanning and benchmarking to monitor the direction of the supply market, whilst ensuring competitiveness of the supply base and shaping the strategy of the category.
Provide regular Management Information reports and updates for the business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Monitoring and driving corrective action for Invoice Price Variances (IPV), Purchase Price Variances (PPV), year on year deflation (YOY).
Engagement with key stakeholders, managing financial elements of materials and cost impact.
Work on own initiative working at pace and with a high level of accuracy.
Prioritize workload in a pressurized environment to ensure duties are carried out in a timely manner. Present accurate information and data as requested.
Ensure full CAA compliance end to end.
Adhere to Unit safety measures in place.
Adhere to inflight services security compliance.
Adhere to clean as you go standard.
Interact with colleagues, customers, and clients in a professional manner at all times.
Ensure you are aware and comply with QHSE policies and procedures.
Ensure you understand Newrest Non-negotiables and always adhere to these.
Guarantee the implementation and compliance with Newrest HSE standards at all times.
Comply with all unit Corporate, Social, Responsibility initiatives.
Ensure you understand, comply and abide by any new or amendments to policies, processes or working practices.
Any other duties as requested by your manager.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of Winrest procurement side: capturing and updating products data (new pricing, codes, supplier information etc).
Placing online orders for items that are not in the internal software.
Knowledge and Skills
Minimum experience in supply & logistics (Preferably in catering).
The ability to work calmly under pressure.
Excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
Good literacy skills, verbal writing and spoken.
Operational awareness, understanding of HACCP, COSHH, and any other requirements as specified by your manager
Proven experience within a fast moving and changing work environment such as FMCG, manufacturing or logistics.
Experience of rotation through different departments/units.
