Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a first level Registered Nurse to join the Health Protection Team of the Directorate of Public Health, NHS Tayside.
Responsibilities
You will work as a member of the Consultant and Nurse-led Health Protection Team, responsible for the nursing case management of individuals and their contacts, and for participating in the investigation of outbreaks of communicable disease and the implementation of infection control measures across the community and public health settings of Tayside.
Requirements
The post-holder will be a first level nurse currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council with extensive clinical experience in nursing with a broad range of clinical skills. You will hold a first degree in a health-related subject, or have equivalent experience, and be working currently as a nurse in a healthcare setting. This post is not eligible for sponsorship. You should be able to provide evidence of having an active interest in communicable disease infection prevention and control or the management of environmental hazards. Experience within the community setting is essential. You will be required to travel within Tayside to fulfil the role.
Hours
Hours of work: minimum 18.5 per week (0.5 WTE) – Monday to Sunday when necessary.
