What you’d be doing… This role places you in the Natural Resources Team who lead on delivery of our Biodiversity Strategy, Capital investment projects for habitats and species, biosecurity and our Upstream Thinking Catchment Management and Green First Programmes. The Teams leads on protecting Biodiversity across our assets and activities and also working with our environmental stakeholders in all areas. As a Graduate in Natural Resources, you could: Co deliver and project manage capital investment projects for fish, eels, control of Invasive Non Native Species (INNS), biodiversity and catchment management projects on our WINEP (Water Industry Natural Environment) Programme. Support our teams to manage spatial and delivery data and evidence and understand the wider benefits created through their work. This includes working with GIS and in house data reporting systems. Contribute to collaboration with other water companies and industry groups to strengthen the sector’s Innovation and research approaches Work across internal teams delivering the Nature safe programme providing advice and briefings on how to manage nature to all our teams and operators Work with our communications team to develop case studies and stories that bring to life our work for external audiences Support the work of our Environmental Stakeholder and Green First Programme Manager in delivery of community events and interactions, attending partnership meetings and fostering community links with projects on the ground delivering our Green First Waste Water improvement programme. Care about Wildlife and habitats, rivers and Seas and you are concerned about community and nature impacts and the role businesses and Utility companies can play in society Enjoy working with people across different teams and organisations and communicating and bringing ideas together Are comfortable manging and organising information and helping turn it into clear reports and project plans Can explain ideas clearly, both in writing and in conversation Like solving problems and improving how things work Have GIS or other spatial data handling skills, are proficient at surveying nature or just enjoy going out in the wild at the weekend to see what you can spot.
