We are seeking enthusiastic Graduate SEND Support Staff to work in a variety of school settings, supporting children with diverse learning needs. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or child development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of personalised learning programmes.
* Use creative, hands-on approaches to engage and motivate learners.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
* Support children in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
* Work closely with teaching staff to implement Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to colleagues and parents.
About You:
* Recent graduate with a passion for education and supporting diverse learners.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathetic, patient, and adaptable in challenging situations.
* Willingness to learn and grow in the field of education.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential).
