Theatre Clinical Head of Department
About the Role
This is a leadership position in our perioperative care team. As a Theatre Clinical Head of Department, you will provide strong clinical leadership and assume overall accountability for clinical effectiveness and operational management.
Responsibilities
* Drive a strong patient safety culture throughout the department
* Collaborate with other clinical leaders to evaluate departmental structures and processes
* Mentor and train staff to ensure effective workforce management
* Support the development of local strategy
Main Accountabilities:
1. Driving a strong patient safety culture throughout the department, encouraging staff to speak up and report safety concerns
2. Working in partnership with the Director of Clinical services to evaluate departmental structures and processes
3. Collaborating with other clinical leaders within the Hospital to enhance patient care and service delivery
Requirements:
* Qualifications: RGN/ODP with NMC/HCPC registration and mentorship qualification
* Nursing management experience
* Organised, highly motivated and engaged individual

1. Effective workforce management and agile service delivery that fully meets the needs of patients, staff and clinical activity
2. Delivering seamless patient care through ongoing evaluation of patient experience
