About the Role
Assistant Designer - Menswear at Next. Your role may include research trips to places such as China and Bangladesh. You will research the latest trends relevant to various customer profiles, and communicate this information to your team and senior managers. You will produce creative designs that reflect the latest trends for the Next customer base. Day-to-day tasks may include briefing suppliers and building strong relationships while working closely with the Print Designer & Buyer to support the design process from planning new ranges through to product selection.
Responsibilities
* Research trends relevant to various customer profiles and communicate findings to the team and senior managers.
* Produce creative designs that tastefully reflect current trends for Next customers.
* Brief suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.
* Collaborate with the Print Designer & Buyer to support the design process from planning new ranges to product selection.
About You / Qualifications
* Experience within a UK brand or high street retailer.
* Experience in a similar product area is essential.
* Great taste level and passion for the latest trends and how to translate them into designs.
* Enthusiastic attitude and strong team player.
* Proficient in creating designs and tech packs using Adobe Creative Suite—from initial trend concepts to final tech packs.
Team
You would be joining a team whose enthusiasm for trend and elevation is the main focus, with experience across multi-fabrications and innovative progression.
