A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our Endoscopy Unit fora Staff nurse to join our existing team. We want to recruit highly motivatedindividual who can provide high quality standards of care and work towardscompleting a portfolio of evidence in Endoscopy. Training will be ongoing.
This very busy department provides care for outpatients andinpatients having a range of endoscopic procedures including upper and lower GIprocedure, bronchoscopy and cystoscopy.
Full and part time hours are available.
Main duties of the job
The primary focus of this role is to provide an effective and high quality service in relation to the specified clinical procedures within the Endoscopy unit. The post holder will need to be motivated and able to work as part of a well-established team and be an excellent communicator with the ability to support the team in the day to day operation of the service they provide.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
* Evidence of recent continuous professional development.
* Educated to Degree level or working towards.
Knowledge
* Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to actively listen to and hear peoples issues and concerns. Ability to communicate difficult, complex and contentious information in a way that is heard and understood
* Demonstrates sound clinical knowledge and up to date nursing practice with evidence of critical thinking and problem solving
* Demonstrates an empathetic, caring and sensitive approach to patients, relatives and carers.
* Demonstrates awareness of current professional nursing issues
* Able to work under own initiative and without direct supervision within responsibilities of role.
