Job Description:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Consultant to work with our client, improving track access via our Track Access Solutions, providing efficiencies in productivity, safety, and commercial aspects. The role also involves analyzing access point utilization and identifying areas for new access points to enhance efficiency during route works.
The role holder will collaborate with our clients to consult on how our services can benefit them and boost project productivity throughout the entire program, leaving a lasting legacy for the route maintainer.
Responsibilities for the Role:
1. Provide expert knowledge of track access solutions and their efficiencies.
2. Assess clients’ current methods of track access and suggest improvements.
3. Meet budgetary objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
4. Liaise with Local Operations teams as needed.
5. Track project improvements provided by our solutions.
6. Ensure all access solutions comply with NR standards and group policies.
7. Manage stakeholders and provide weekly updates.
8. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers for training and equipment.
9. Support the creation of project processes for implementing track access solutions.
10. Assist internal and external teams with resource planning and staff allocation.
11. Conduct site visits to identify potential support locations for our solutions.
12. Manage project documentation and communication with clients.
13. Evaluate project success and conduct lessons learned meetings with stakeholders.
14. Ensure timely order-to-invoice processes.
15. Achieve business and KPI objectives, and discuss progress with line managers regularly.
16. Undertake industry training as required.
Knowledge and Experience:
* Experience with the OnTrack system.
* Background in planning infrastructure projects within the rail industry.
* Commercial awareness.
* Experience with project/program management internally and with clients.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of safety standards (NR/L/OHS/O, NR/L/OHS/O-IP, PPS, GZAC, PTS AC, DC, SSOWP).
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with ZKLRC.
* Knowledge of the East Coast Mainline (South).
* Certifications like COSS, Engineering or Project Management qualifications, IOSH Managing Safely.
