The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the management of warehouse and distribution activity across the UK and EU as part of the logistics business unit. This is a permanent, full time position reporting to the Warehousing and Distribution Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the management of 3PL performance, including tracking SLAs, KPIs and reporting
2. Support the planning and management of UK export shipments, EU import shipments and intra-European movements
3. Support the roll-out of supply chain projects – business and process change, efficiency improvements and improved ways of working across Glanbia and 3PL sites (inc. B2B, D2C, DSD)
4. Support financial and procurement projects within the logistics team
5. Support the financial elements of the logistics function including invoice and purchase order management, financial tracking and reporting and rolling out cost saving initiatives
6. Manage the day-to-day logistics operations – being the go-to person for all things warehousing and distribution within the logistics team
The Skills you will bring to the team
7. Background in Transport/supply chain/ logistics
8. General all round Logistics experience
9. Excellent communication skills – with an ability to adapt to audience where appropriate
10. Organised with a strong attention to detail
11. Strong Excel skills, with an ability to work with multiple spreadsheets
12. Results-orientated problem solver
13. Keen “improvement” / efficiency mind-set
14. Ability to work well under pressure, be able to adapt to last minute changes to workload and ways of working
15. Not afraid to challenge the status-quo
16. Financial knowledge / exposure / background – desirable but not essential
