MET Technician Required in Barnstaple, Devon
1. Negotiable Basic salary of circa £43,000 DOE
2. 40 hour working week
3. Monday to Friday only
4. No Weekend Work
5. Work for an Insurer Approved Accident Repair Group
Our client, an Accident Repair Centre is currently seeking an experienced MET (Mechanical Electrical Trim) Technician to join their new workshop in Barnstaple.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business working for Well Known Insurer Approved Companies.
The day to day duties for the MET Technician will include:
6. Fit and strip both mechanical and body parts from vehicles including body panel, interiors, gearboxes etc. as well as minor mechanical work such as wheel alignments.
7. The MET Technician will be able to produce an extremely high quality of work in any situation and have a right-first-time approach to everything you do.
8. Reporting directly to the site Production Lead, MET’s that remove and assess any additional damage and refit to our high standards safeguarding customer satisfaction.
For this MET role you will have:
9. Practical expertise in vehicle mechanical and suspension repairs
10. ATA MET certification
11. Experience with light commercial vehicles (LCV)
12. Relevant qualifications in mechanics and suspension
13. Skills in steering geometry alignment and adjustment
14. Glazing and minor panel repair capabilities
15. Proficiency in preparing and priming new or repaired panels up to the first masking stage
16. Competence in air conditioning system evacuation and recharge
17. Proficient in plastic repair work
