You will join our Supported Living team in Tonypandy, supporting six adults with sensory loss and learning disabilities in their own home and with activities in the community, such as going to the cinema, bowling or walks in the park.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals with everyday tasks including cooking and cleaning, finances, appointments, and going into the community for shopping or other trips.
* Support social life and activities, ensuring care is tailored to each person’s needs as an individual.
* Attend training as needed to support you in your role. No two days will be the same.
Shifts and hours
This is a permanent role with contracts available for 16, 18, 30 and 37.5 hours per week. The shifts are varied and generally a mix of 7:00–14:30, 14:30–22:00 and 22:00–07:00, Monday to Sunday. Flexibility is essential to support the valuable service we provide.

What we’re looking for
* Positive, with a can-do attitude; caring, patient and empathetic; good communicators and listeners.
* Experience in caring/support work desirable; Right to work in the UK; full UK driving license desirable.
* BSL skills desirable; knowledge of multi-sensory impairments/learning difficulties beneficial.
* Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives; willing to attend training as needed.
* No two days will be the same; capable of supporting people with everyday tasks, finances, appointments and social activities.
