Job Overview
We’re heading into a busy period with multiple new projects underway and are expanding our network of reliable subcontract labour across the South West.
This opportunity is aimed at skilled, experienced roofing and cladding teams who take pride in delivering quality work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. As part of our extended delivery network, you’ll support commercial projects ranging from industrial refurbishments to new-build developments - representing Ascencis on-site as a trusted trade partner.
Our focus is on building long-term relationships with professional, self-sufficient gangs who understand what it means to work collaboratively on organised sites. You’ll work alongside our Contracts and Site Management teams, playing a key role in helping us maintain our reputation for high standards, reliability, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
* Install roofing, cladding, and rainscreen systems safely and to specification across commercial and industrial projects.
* Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and setting-out details accurately.
* Work alongside Contracts Managers, Site Supervisors, and other trades to maintain programme, quality, and coordination.
* Ensure all works comply with site Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, including permits, PPE, and housekeeping standards.
* Identify and report any issues, clashes, or safety concerns promptly.
* Maintain professionalism and clear communication with site and management teams.
* Deliver work that reflects the company’s standards of quality and workmanship.
Key Requirements
* Trade Experience: Proven background in commercial or industrial roofing and/or cladding installation (sheeting, rainscreen, standing seam, or flat systems).
* Technical Capability: Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools, access equipment, and lifting gear.
* Certifications: Valid CSCS card essential; SSSTS, PASMA, or IPAF are advantageous.
* Insurance: Up-to-date public and employers’ liability insurance.
* Health & Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safe working practices, risk assessments, and environmental responsibilities on site.
* Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and proactive – someone who takes pride in doing things properly.
* Transport: Own tools, PPE, and reliable transport to travel across regional sites.
* Communication: Ability to liaise confidently with site management and fellow trades.
