* Hybrid working: 2/3 days in the office, 3/2 days working from home (TBC)
The ideal candidate is looking to take the first step into a more senior engineering role and is eager to grow. You should have a process/mechanical engineering background, with experience in sizing components and understanding/defining system requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Producing, reviewing, and updating system documentation for mechanical and thermos-hydraulic design, operator instructions, HMI, safety, environmental, and control logic, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
2. Instrumentation and control analysis: defining functional requirements, producing I&C logic, and analyzing FTP results.
3. Mechanical design: sizing components such as pumps, fans, pipework, performing thermal-hydraulic calculations, ensuring 3D model consistency, and supporting procurement.
4. Analyzing input data, requirements, and lessons learned from other stations.
5. Proactively engaging with all stakeholders to ensure product delivery meets multidisciplinary requirements.
6. Contributing to best practices, innovation, and process improvements.
7. Participating in experience sharing activities within the discipline.
8. Managing system modifications, including producing specifications, analyzing applicability, developing solutions, and utilizing electronic change management tools.
Must have:
* Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent (Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related fields considered)
* Minimum 5 years of experience
* Experience in system design, documentation, system requirements analysis, component sizing, and modification management
* Experience in a nuclear project or highly regulated industry (Oil & Gas, London Underground, Heathrow, etc.)
* Ability to manage workload and produce high-quality documents within deadlines
