This is a full-time, permanent position based at our head office in Runcorn, Cheshire. In return, you will receive a competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum. DCB Legal Ltd is a specialist in the provision of legal services relating to Civil and Commercial litigation, debt recovery, property, and High Court Enforcement disputes. We are not a full legal service provider, instead, we focus on providing a contemporary no fuss, bespoke legal service in our specialist field of debt recovery and litigation.
Our client retention rate, coupled with recommendations and referrals, provides a solid foundation for organic growth. Working alongside our sister company DCBL, we have created an end-to-end possession, debt recovery and litigation service, which is second to none.
We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to design, deliver and continuously evolve our training framework across legal and operational functions.
You will take ownership of learning and development requirements — partnering with senior stakeholders across legal, compliance and operations to drive capability, embed regulatory standards, and support business performance.
You will play a critical role in ensuring our people are not only technically competent but operating in line with legal, regulatory and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver a structured L&D strategy aligned to business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational performance
* Build role-specific training pathways across litigation, debt recovery, enforcement and support functions
* Translate regulatory and legal changes into practical, engaging training content
* Develop a blend of classroom, digital and on-the-job learning solutions
* Partner with Risk & Compliance and Quality Assurance teams to identify trends, risks and capability gaps
* Implement and maintain a robust training governance framework, including audit trails, competency assessments and skills matrices
* Measure training effectiveness using data, KPIs and performance outcomes — not just attendance
* Support onboarding and continuous development, ensuring speed to competence for new hires
* Act as a trusted advisor to managers on performance development and capability building
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in an L&D role within a regulated environment (legal, financial services, enforcement or similar)
* Experience designing and implementing end-to-end training programmes, not just delivering pre-built content
* Strong understanding of compliance-led training and embedding regulatory requirements into operational teams
* Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
* Experience using data and insight to drive training decisions and demonstrate impact
* Confident delivering training to a range of audiences, from entry-level to experienced professionals
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and governance
Desirable
* Experience within legal services, debt recovery or civil litigation
* Familiarity with ISO standards or regulated frameworks
* Experience with e-learning platforms or LMS systems
