Overview
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join one of my client's long‑established team in Edinburgh. This is your chance to become part of a supportive and forward‑thinking practice with a strong reputation for providing exceptional care and building lasting relationships with loyal clients.
Role Details
They are seeking a confident and capable vet experienced across all areas of general practice. The role can be tailored to suit your lifestyle, with both full‑time and part‑time options available, and they actively support flexible working.
You’ll take part in a 1‑in‑3 weekend rota, working alongside at least one other vet, two RVNs and two receptionists during the week. At weekends you’ll work sole charge with the support of a nurse and a receptionist. The purpose‑built, fully equipped practice is located in the heart of Edinburgh and includes two full‑time vets, two part‑time vets, three RVNs, a Practice Manager and three client care advisors.
Weekend work mainly involves emergency and urgent cases, with a limited number of routine appointments. No surgeries are scheduled during weekend shifts, allowing you to focus on immediate and critical cases. A fixed rota and time off during the week following weekend shifts support a great work‑life balance.
