Veritas Education is looking for a dedicated and experienced Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and well-regarded one-form entry primary school in the Angel area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and already has strong experience working within a school setting.
About the Role
You will work closely with the Year 2 class teacher to deliver high-quality support in the classroom. The role involves helping to prepare lessons, supporting pupils with their learning, and contributing to a positive and engaging Key Stage 1 environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide in-class support to the Year 2 teacher and pupils.
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress.
Assist with phonics, literacy, numeracy and general classroom tasks.
Help maintain a calm, inclusive and well-organised learning environment.
Contribute to assessment and record-keeping where required.
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.Requirements
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school is essential.
Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum (Year 2 experience highly desirable).
Confident, proactive and able to use your initiative.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.What We Offer
