Our client, a growing business within a manufacturing environment based in Bishop Auckland, are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to join their team.
This is a varied and hands on role supporting the wider business through continued growth, working closely with managers to deliver a proactive and high quality HR service across the organisation, with travel to other sites required as part of the role.
Key responsibilities:
1. Support the delivery of the People Plan and ongoing development of HR processes and procedures
2. Provide guidance on HR policies, employment law and employee relations matters
3. Coach and support managers across performance, attendance and capability issues
4. Support end to end recruitment, including sourcing candidates and assisting with interviews
5. Support probation reviews, appraisals and identification of training and development needs
6. Manage sickness absence processes, welfare meetings and occupational health referrals
7. Produce HR reporting on absence, turnover and timekeeping
8. Support the development and maintenance of HR policies to ensure legal compliance
9. Take ownership of HR projects and reporting requirements as needed
About you:
10. Previous experience within a generalist HR role is essential
11. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent or above is required
12. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
13. Confident supporting and influencing managers at all levels
14. Proactive approach with strong problem solving ability
15. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
16. Able to work independently whilst also being a key team player
17. High level of professionalism and confidentiality
